No Frills Christianity

This is one of my favorite skits from the Carol Burnett Show! In it, an airline passenger discovers that the "no frills" section of the plane is not all it's cracked up to be, and definitley NOT worth the money saved from flying first class. It often pays to go all the way and not skimp! Christianity is similar. You can not skimp on the doctrines of grace and the plain truths of Scripture and have Christianity! But many will do so, adopting the truths in the Bible that are agreeable to them, and ignoring the truths they find offensive, irrelevant, or too difficult to grasp. But what they end up with is a distorted Christ. A watered-down Savior. A powerless Gospel, and we learn too late that we've made a terrible mistake!
